The French Prudential Supervision and Resolution Authority (ACPR) has published its supervisory priorities for 2023, giving priority to monitoring the risks arising from macroeconomic uncertainties linked to the Ukraine war, the rise in interest rates and the rise in inflation.

The Authority also said “its commitment to the fight against climate change continues with the launch of a second stress-test exercise”.

Other insurance-specific activities planned in 2023 include the continuing work on reducing life insurance costs; negotiations on Solvency II reforms with the EU; and developing recovery and resolution rules with the EU.
