Germany’s largest public insurer, the Versicherungskammer Group, has acquired more than 33,000 square metres of real estate space in Munich from MEAG.

With 326 apartments, around 75% of the twelve properties are used for residential purposes, the remaining areas are rented out as offices or other commercial areas.

“Versicherungskammer, which has always had its roots in Munich as an institutional investor, remains an active and reliable partner on the market even in these volatile times,” head of the real estate asset class at the insurer, Kathrin Vogels, stated.

Wagensonner Rechtsanwälte and Kaiser Baucontrol advised on the buyer side. The transaction was brokered by BNP Paribas Real Estate.
