Non-life insurance premiums in Luxembourg rose by 203.49% over the first nine months of 2019, significantly impacted by the fallout from the approval of companies that chose the country as a place of installation following the UK’s decision to leave the EU.
Life insurance premiums grew by 23.63%, according to the Luxembourg Insurance Commission (CAA).
Life insurers’ total technical reserves amounted to €196.85bn at the end of September 2019, up 8.98% compared to the end of September 2018 and 2.62% over the end of June 2019.
