Neuberger Berman hires Eric Karlson as private placement debt team expands

Neuberger Berman has announced the hire of Eric Karlson, who joins the firm as managing director and portfolio manager in the private placement debt team focusing on asset-backed securities (ABS) and structured transactions.

He joins from AIG, where he served as managing director and led private ABS and structured transactions.

“Private placement debt is an essential part of a broad fixed income offering and it has been a priority to expand our capabilities,” Jason Pratt, senior portfolio manager and head of insurance fixed income, said.
