The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) CEO Michael Consedine is stepping down effective 30 April 2023.

Consedine has served as the CEO of the NAIC since January 2017.

"On behalf of our members and the NAIC staff, we are grateful to Consedine for all his good work over the past six-plus years and his commitment to the NAIC and the state-based system of insurance regulation," NAIC President and Missouri Department of Commerce and Insurance Director Chlora Lindley-Myers said.

"We are proud of his many accomplishments, including providing stability and leadership during the pandemic; spearheading efforts to help us develop our State Ahead and State Connected strategic plans; and his unwavering commitment and support of our state-based system in the challenging international area. We wish him the best in his future endeavours."

The NAIC is expecting to appoint an acting CEO during its Spring National Meeting, which begins next week in Louisville, Kentucky.
