
Italian total life and non-life premium income amounted to €73.6bn in H1 2022, down by 5.4% compared to H1 2021, according to latest figures published by Italy’s Institute for insurance supervision, IVASS.
In particular, premium income in the life sector equalling to €52.9bn, marks a drop of 9.2%. Premium income in the non-life sector is €20.7bn, up by 5.9%.
Life business for pension purposes increased by 4.6% or €3.2bn.
