Groupama has strengthened its commitment to the climate by joining the Net-Zero Asset Owner Alliance (NZAOA).
The NZAOA is a United Nations-supported initiative that brings together international insurers and pension funds committing to transition their investment portfolios to carbon neutrality by 2050. The members wish to contribute to limiting global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial temperatures, in line with the Paris Agreement.
Groupama CEO Thierry Martel said: “As an institutional investor and a major player in financing the European economy, Groupama has developed over several years investment policies and processes integrating environmental, social and governance criteria. This year we are reinforcing our commitment to limit climate change as an asset owner.”
