French life insurance premiums hit second highest historical level

French life insurance premiums reached €14.1bn in January 2023, their second highest historical level for the month of January, according to France Assureurs.

The figure was up by 1% compared to January 2022. The record was €14.4bn reached in January 2006.

Net inflows are positive and reached +€1.2bn for January 2023. At + €3.6bn, net inflows in unit-linked unit remained close to their record level reached last year for a month of January.
