EIOPA's board of supervisors has appointed Teija Korpiaho, chief adviser of insurance supervision at the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finanssivalvonta, FI-FSA), to EIOPA’s management board.

Korpiaho has been appointed for a two-and-a-half year term starting 31 July 2023. She replaces Åsa Larson, executive director of insurance at the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen), who has completed her second term on the board.

EIOPA’s management board consists of EIOPA’s chairperson, six representatives of national supervisory authorities and a representative from the European Commission. Its role is to ensure that EIOPA accomplishes its mission and fulfils the tasks assigned to it.
