
Prudential has announced the appointment of Diana Guzmán as its new director of group ESG.
Guzmán joins the business on 25 January 2023, and will report to group chief financial officer (CFO), James Turner.
In her new role, Guzmán will work across the business to deliver on the company’s ESG strategy and commitments, maintain constructive dialogue with key stakeholders, and further embed Prudential’s ESG strategy for sustainable long-term value.
Guzmán brings with her a wealth and breadth of experience working with public and private institutions on sustainable investments. She joins Prudential from the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Geneva, where she was the head of sustainable development investment partnership & development finance. Before the WEF, Guzman was director for CDP (former Carbon Disclosure Project), the global environmental disclosure system.
Guzmán will succeed Kerry Adams-Strump, director of group ESG, who has been instrumental in the development of the group’s ESG strategy and its communication to Prudential’s stakeholders since 2020. Adams-Strump will remain with the group until 31 May 2023 to support the publication of the group’s 2022 ESG report and upcoming AGM.
