Speaker Profile: Gareth Colesmith

As Insight’s Head of Global Rates and Macro Research, Gareth has oversight of Insight-managed government bond portfolios, in particular global, UK and inflation-linked portfolios as well as direct responsibility for managing European government bond portfolios. In addition, he was responsible for setting up the macro research function, which aims to consolidate and improve on our internal macro, economics and politics research, to the benefit of the whole investment team. Gareth originally joined the Fixed Income Group at Insight in April 2003, following the acquisition of Rothschild Asset Management Limited (RAM), as a European fixed income portfolio manager. He joined RAM in 1998 as a graduate and assisted in the management of continental European bonds. Gareth holds a BA (Hons) degree in Mathematics from Jesus College, Oxford University and is an Associate of the CFA Society of the UK.
