Francesco Sandrini appointed CIO of Amundi Italy

Amundi has announced the appointment of Francesco Sandrini as the group’s new chief investment officer (CIO) in Italy.

Sandrini had been overseeing Amundi Multi-Asset Strategies since 2022.

Prior to that he was head of multi-asset balance, income and real return strategies, overlooking multi-asset portfolios since 2012.

Sandrini joined Amundi in 1998 when it was previously Pioneer Investments and has been based in Dublin and Munich during his previous assignments.

A graduate in economics from Bologna University, Sandrini holds a master’s degree in economics from Bocconi University of Milan and obtained a PhD in banking and finance at the University College Dublin in 2009.
