Zurich appoints group CIO

Stephan van Vliet has been appointed group chief investment officer at Zurich.

Van Vliet joins from Prudential where he was also chief investment officer since 2017. He replaces Urban Angehrn who resigned last year.

Prior to working at Prudential, van Vliet worked at Pinebridge Investments as head of insurance asset management, at ING Insurance Asia Pacific as head of investments and at ING Investment Management in roles covering both asset ownership and asset management.
