Total assets of Chinese insurance companies increase by 9.6%

Total assets of Chinese insurance companies for H1 2023 were 29.2trn yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.6%, according to figures disclosed at the CBIRC’s banking and insurance industry data conference.

Insurance premium income of insurance companies was 3.2trn yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.5%.

The overall liquidity of insurance institutions remained stable, and at present, the comprehensive solvency adequacy ratio of the insurance industry is 190.3%.

Cash flow from operating activities of insurance companies increased year-on-year.
