Tatjana Helbing is to become chief investment officer (CIO) of the Zurich Group Germany on 1 January 2023.

Helbing succeeds Lutz Honstetter, who left the Zurich Group Germany in September and moved back to Switzerland.

She has held various positions at Deutsche Bank from 1998 to 2005, and this was followed by five years as senior portfolio manager at Gothaer Asset Management. In 2010, the 45-year-old moved to the Zurich Group Germany, where she was responsible, among other things, for the development of the investment strategy and its implementation.

In mid-2018, Helbing assumed responsibility for the Swiss balance sheet as deputy chief investment officer before returning to Zurich Group Germany in the same capacity in December 2021.
