Sun Life appoints Ping An’s CIO as President of Asia Asset Management

Sun Life has appointed Ping An CIO, Benjamin Deng, as President of Asia Asset Management, a newly created role, effective 1 January.

Deng will deal with asset management operations and strategy to support its insurance and asset management businesses across Asia.

Deng will report directly to Manjit Singh, President of Sun Life Asia, and Steve Peacher, executive chair of SLC Management, Sun Life’s institutional asset management division.

In his prior role at Ping An, he managed investments totalling $740bn in AuM.
