RGA has completed an asset-intensive reinsurance arrangement with Standard Life International dac, relating to €300m of in-payment German individual annuity obligations.

The transaction supports the ongoing security of policyholder benefits and underscores RGA’s extensive expertise in biometric risk across multiple markets, while broadening the diversification of RGA’s longevity exposure.

Following recent transactions in Belgium and Switzerland, this is RGA’s first asset-intensive arrangement involving German business.

“This deal reflects our continued commitment to developing innovative reinsurance solutions for insurers across continental Europe,” David Lipovics, SVP, managing director, continental Europe at RGA said.
