Ping An Insurance grows to be largest insurance company worldwide with $1.25trn AUM

Ping An Insurance has grown to be the largest insurance company worldwide with total assets estimated at $1.25trn, contributing to the largest market cap out of life insurance companies - $187bn as of 2021.

According to data published by TradingPlatforms.com, Ping An is also the leading life and health insurance company based on revenue globally, with an estimated $184bn in revenue as of 2020.

In 2020, Ping An experienced the largest growth in brand value, growing by almost 20%.

Ping An’s rapid growth, according to TradingPlatforms.com, is largely attributed to investment in long-term digital capabilities. One per cent of its annual revenue – around $1bn – has been directed towards tech investment.
