DWS has appointed Jessica Hardman as its head of UK operations, as well as chief executive officer for DWS Investments UK, subject to regulatory approval.
As part of the new roles, Hardman will join DWS’s global leadership and investment leadership teams, adding to her existing roles as head of European portfolio management and head of UK real estate group. She is also a board member and company director for DWS Global Alternatives.
Hardman has enjoyed a near-20 year career at DWS, having joined Deutsche Bank’s UK real estate transactions team in 2004, before progressing to become the head of the unit between 2013 and 2017.
She then went on to become head of European portfolio management and the UK real estate group at DWS in 2017, where she oversaw global and European funds, as well as international client separately managed accounts strategies.
Described as a respected leader and champion for equality and diversity, working on the company’s diversity, equity and inclusion strategy, Hardman will oversee the strategic direction and operations of DWS’s UK footprint, working with a diverse group of stakeholders, including clients and regulators.
