Italian life and non-life premiums amount to €37.5bn for Q1 2022

Total Italian life and non-life premiums amounted to €37.5bn in Q1 2022, according to IVASS.

Income from the life sector was € 27.3bn, down by 8.8% comapred to Q1 2021. New production in the sector decreased by €1.8bn, due to the contraction of traditional policies and unit and index linked policies.

Non-life sector premiums were recorded at € 10.2bn, up by 4.6% compared to the same period of 2021.
