Generali commits to investing €3bn in sustainable and green bonds by 2022

Generali has committed to investing €3bn in sustainable and green bonds by the end of 2022.

The insurer's overall climate protection goal is to make between €8.5bn and €9.5bn of new green and sustainable investments from 2021 to 2025.

Speaking at the EU Sustainable Investment Summit 2021, Generali Group CEO Philippe Donnet stressed the importance of public-private partnerships to successfully address climate change, as well as other global risks such as terrorism, cyber and pandemics.
