Allianz Group is supporting female-focused education in Turkey with a €2m investment.

In collaboration with Allianz Turkey, Allianz Group is investing the money in a new dormitory project aiming to increase the capacity of Turkish charity, the Koruncuk Foundation, to provide a safe and nurturing environment for more girls in need.

The new dormitory, located in Arnavutköy, Istanbul, will cover an area of 2,230 square meters and include rooms, social and recreation areas, a library, and a dining hall. It will offer comprehensive support, including access to education, sociocultural activities, and counselling, to foster the development and well-being of the girls.

Tolga Gürkan, CEO of Allianz Turkey, emphasised Allianz's commitment to sustainable development and the importance of providing equal educational opportunities in the opening ceremony for the project, which was attended by a number of local city officials.

He highlighted that Allianz has been supporting the Koruncuk Foundation since 2016 and is dedicated to preparing future generations through qualified education.
