Speaker Profile: Liya Pozdeeva

Liya Pozdeeva is a Principal responsible for capital efficient solutions for EMEA insurance in the Ares Global Client Solutions Group. Prior to joining Ares in 2023, Ms. Pozdeeva was an Executive Director on the Credit Structuring team at Goldman Sachs, where she focused on capital efficient alternative asset transactions and worked with insurers, pension funds and PE firms on ALM and asset allocation. Previously, Ms. Pozdeeva was a Director, Head of Pension and Insurance Structuring at Deutsche Bank, where she led the Pension and Insurance Structuring team. In addition, she was a Credit Analyst at Citi. Ms. Pozdeeva holds an M.Sc. from the State Finance Academy of Russian Federation in Finance and Economics and an M.B.A. from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business in Analytic Finance and Economics.
