Speaker Profile: Prasun Mathur

Prasun joined Aviva in October 2016 where he is responsible for investing in private assets and delivering associated P&L for Aviva UK. Currently, he focuses on investing optimally across a variety of fixed income asset classes. This involves market entry analysis into new asset classes, commercial and credit underwriting of individual private credit trades, and asset allocation insights by identifying key risk drivers. He has led teams in large insurance companies to run investment and ALM strategies. Prior to joining Aviva, he headed up ALM strategy for Phoenix, and supported several M&A transactions. Prasun has over 12 years of experience in insurance ALM, investment strategy and new product development. Prior to joining Phoenix, Prasun worked for Standard Life and HSBC. Prasun holds a 5 year Masters in Math and Computing from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and an M.B.A. from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. Prasun is a regular in various insurance/buy-side conferences to talk about investments/ALM strategies/Risk analytics (viz. Buy-side Risk.net, RiskMinds, Insurance Asset Management, Insurance Asset Risk). He guides some conference agendas, and judges 2 key Insurance asset management awards.
