Speaker Profile: Valerie Harrington

Valerie works as Senior Fund Manager for Blended Finance mandates at BlueOrchard Finance, a leading Swiss-based impact investment manager, and part of the Schroders Group. Valerie’s work involves the design and launch of BlueOrchard’s blended finance strategies, and she is currently leading the development of a new strategy focused on mobilizing capital from private insurers into emerging market climate impact investments. She is also responsible for the ongoing management of three other existing blended finance vehicles. Most recently Valerie led the launch of BlueOrchard’s latest blended finance strategy focused on Gender, Diversity and Inclusion in Latin America. Prior to joining BlueOrchard, Valerie worked at the wealth management division of Panama’s largest bank as an investment advisor constructing UHNW clients’ portfolios and building the bank’s investment platform. Valerie holds an MBA from SDA Bocconi (Milan) and a BS in Finance and International Business from Georgetown University (Washington DC).
