Speaker Profile: Malea Figgins

Malea is an analyst in the fixed income group, specialising in sustainable investments across global securitised products and is stationed in the TCW London office. Within securitised, she is responsible for sustainable research across asset classes, leading engagement and industry-wide collaboration initiatives, and designing proprietary tools to provide custom sustainable solutions for clients. Malea represents TCW on the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) Securitised Products Advisory Committee, the Structured Finance Association (SFA) ESG Task Force and sector-specific working groups, and the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF) Mortgage/CRE and Motor Vehicle working groups. As co-chair of PCAF’s Securitised Products Working Group, she is responsible for leading the development of the PCAF Global GHG Accounting and Reporting Standard for Securitised and Structured Products. Prior to joining the securitised products team in 2021, she spent six years in investment operations, where her responsibilities included building out the global operations team, covering account onboarding and foreign market opening as well as maintenance of fixed income, equity, and emerging market accounts. Before joining TCW in 2015, she worked at State Street Investment Management Services. Malea graduated from Santa Ana City College.
