Zurich in discussions to acquire MetLife’s US P&C business for close to $4bn

Zurich is in discussions to acquire MetLife’s US P&C business for close to $4bn.

In an announcement released tonight, Zurich said its subsidiary, Farmers Group, is proposing to acquire the business in conjunction with Farmers Exchanges.

"The terms of any transaction are subject to negotiations and there can be no assurance
that a transaction will take place," Zurich said.
