Varma has made a follow-on investment of around €68m in Sensofusion, a specialist in drone detection and counter-drone technology.
In late 2025, Varma participated in a Sensofusion funding round in which the company raised approximately €45m from investors to accelerate its growth and international expansion.
“Strong growth and an already profitable business make Sensofusion an exceptional company in the defence sector. Its outlook remains strong, and we believe it has the potential to become a major global player in its field, said Timo Sallinen, director, head of listed securities at Varma.
Over the past five years, Varma has provided more than €1bn in financing to Finnish growth companies.
