Schroders has announced the appointment of Rachel Harris as head of UK institutional, reinforcing its commitment to the UK market and focus on continued growth.

In her new role, Rachel will lead the development and delivery of Schroders’ UK institutional strategy, driving growth across the firm’s client base, and will report to Phil Middleton, head of UK client group.

Harris joined Schroders in 2022 and has held several senior roles, including head of DC and retirement solutions and, most recently, business partner to Richard Oldfield, group CEO.

Prior to joining Schroders, she held positions at Aviva Investors, Janus Henderson and Credit Suisse First Boston.

Phil Middleton, head of UK client group, Schroders said: “Our institutional business is central to our growth strategy, and we’re therefore delighted that Rachel is taking on this role. She brings extensive experience and an outstanding track record of delivering for clients and driving results - qualities that will be invaluable as we accelerate our growth.”
