Mahindra Group and Manulife have secured key approval for their life insurance joint venture, Mahindra Manulife Insurance Limited (MMIL).

The two companies first announced the partnership on 12 November 2025 and have now confirmed the incorporation of MMIL following approval from India's Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

This joint venture combines Mahindra's strong market share in India with Manulife's global expertise to create a customer-first, user-friendly, AI-driven, and digitally-led life insurance company.

By combining Mahindra's extensive market reach with Manulife's strengths in product innovation, underwriting, and agent-led distribution, MMIL will focus on protecting policyholder interests and providing comprehensive, needs-based financial solutions.
