Fitch Ratings announces new global, EMEA heads for insurance

Fitch Ratings has appointed Harish Gohil to the role of global group head of insurance, effective 1 August.

With over 20 years’ service at Fitch, Gohil will build on his extensive developed and emerging market insurance experience.

“Harish’s widely recognised insurance expertise and proven leadership of the EMEA insurance ratings team will serve him well to lead the global team. I am confident that under his leadership, Fitch’s global insurance franchise will go from strength to strength,” said Marjan van der Weijden, Fitch’s global group head for financial institutions.

Sabine Bauer has been appointed to succeed Gohil in his previous role as EMEA head of insurance ratings, effective 1 September.
