Chris Bose appointed ABI director of general insurance & international

Chris Bose has been appointed director of general insurance & international at the ABI.

Bose will join the ABI on 11 August from Nationwide Building Society where he has worked for the past 10 years. He has led the policy and public affairs function during this time and also served as interim director of corporate affairs.

Prior to this, he worked in a variety of government affairs and policy roles in Santander and Lansons, as well as undertaking a secondment at HM Treasury.

Bose said: “I’m delighted to have been appointed as the ABI director of general insurance & international at what is such a pivotal time for the insurance sector. Providing protection and peace of mind for people across the UK, insurance is a crucial element of our society and economy. I look forward to working with the industry, government and ABI colleagues to champion the excellent work the industry does and deliver for members.”
