Broadstone has appointed Matthew Ford to its executive team as head of its insurance advisory and remediation division.
Ford joins Broadstone from Milliman, where he was a principal in its London life practice, with a particular focus on pension risk transfer and capital management propositions.
Prior to Milliman, Ford gained extensive leadership experience working at both insurance firms and consultancies within the insurance market. He was a finance director in the insurance and wealth division at Lloyd’s Banking Group, led the London life practice at Willis Towers Watson and was the actuarial director at Prudential Assurance Company.
Ford's appointment enables Broadstone to expand its offering, especially across the pension risk transfer market, building on the acquisition of ExactVAL in 2025, and broaden its footprint in insurance technology as well as in the Lloyd’s and London markets.
Ford commented: “Broadstone already has a strong reputation in the insurance industry but there is a significant opportunity to spearhead further growth as the business continues to invest in its differentiated proposition. I am delighted to be joining at this time and will use my experience working at both consultancies and insurance firms, to bring a strong market focus and deliver bespoke, client-relevant solutions as we expand our insurance sector business.”
