AllianceBernstein bolsters EMEA & APAC insurance team

AllianceBernstein (AB) has appointed Bob Sharma as head of insurance, EMEA & APAC, client group.

In Sharma’s role, he will oversee AB’s strategic relationships with insurance clients in the regions. In that capacity, he will work closely with various teams within AB including product development, insurance portfolio management, and insurance solutions to address client needs.

He joins with over 25 years of experience in various asset management roles, and brings a wealth and breadth of experience spanning business development and product management.

Sharma joins from Wellington Management where he has been for almost 20 years and was head of EMEA insurance. He has previously worked at State Street Global Advisers, Abbey National and Tower Trust Asset Management.
